In a remarkable showcase of skill and intellect, a team of four Serbian high school students clinched two silver and two bronze medals at the 35th International Informatics Olympiad held in Hungary. The silver medals were won by Ilija Kondakov of the International School “Prima” in Belgrade and Miloš Milutinović of Belgrade’s Computer Science High School. Filip Bojković of the Mathematical High School in Belgrade and Nemanja Majski of “Veljko Petrović” High School in Sombor took home the bronze medals, according to the Serbian Mathematical Society.

The Serbian team comprised the nation’s top young computer scientists, selected through a series of competitions organized by the Serbian Mathematical Society, under the patronage of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Serbia. The team was led by Associate Professor Vladimir Milovanović of the University of Kragujevac, and his deputy was Vladimir Milenković, a software engineer at Microsoft Development Center Serbia.

The Olympiad is the most prestigious computer science competition for high school students, featuring 355 participants from 89 countries. Serbian Prime Minister Ana Brnabić congratulated the medal winners, declaring them as “the pride of Serbia.”
