Russia will continue to deepen cooperation with Serbia and to support the protection of its sovereignty and territorial integrity, said Russian President Vladimir Putin at the ceremony of handing over credentials of foreign ambassadors, which was also attended by Serbian Ambassador to Moscow Momcilo Babic.

Putin emphasized that he regularly talks with the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić.

“Russia and Serbia are connected by a strategic partnership that relies on the tradition of friendship and the cultural, spiritual and historical closeness of our brotherly nations. I regularly talk with President Vučić, during direct meetings and telephone conversations, about key issues of further development of cooperation”, the head of the Russian Federation said, as reported by the Sputnik portal.

Putin pointed out that Russia appreciates the efforts of Serbian friends to implement a balanced and independent policy on the international stage, and added that Russia and Serbia will continue to deepen cooperation in the economic, scientific, technical and humanitarian spheres.
