In 2024, Serbia will chair the Central European Free Trade Agreement (CEFTA), announced Tomislav Momirović, Minister of Internal and Foreign Trade, in Podgorica.

Following the “CEFTA WEEK 2023” conference, Momirović stated that Serbia will have the opportunity to continue fulfilling one of its most important goals: regional connectivity and the enhancement of trade cooperation to benefit the economies and improve the quality of life for citizens.

The Minister highlighted the immense significance of the CEFTA market for the Serbian economy, noting that CEFTA is Serbia’s second-largest trading partner, accounting for more than 18 percent of the country’s total trade exchange.
