Serbia and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) have inked a strategic document, formally initiating free trade talks between the two nations.
The document, signed on Serbia’s behalf by the Minister of Internal and Foreign Trade, Tomislav Momirović, during his visit to Dubai, suggests that a free trade agreement with the UAE will further encourage new investments from the affluent Gulf state.

Momirović emphasised that Serbia’s economic ties with the UAE mirror the strong political rapport between the countries, spanning trade collaborations, investment projects, and strategic partnerships.
This symbiotic relationship is most evident in projects such as “Belgrade Waterfront”, and investments from companies like Al Dahra and DP World, along with various other investments from firms within the UAE.
