At this year’s ANUGA, the premier global food industry trade show held in Cologne, a record 36 Serbian firms are showcasing their products, as announced by the Serbian Chamber of Commerce (SCC).

The “ANUGA 2023” event, taking place from 7th to 11th October, has Serbian enterprises displaying their export offerings in two separate halls – one for ready-made products and another for frozen goods.

In the ready-made products hall, 21 Serbian companies, including CMANA from Krnjevo, INTERFOOD 60 from Čačak, and BUDIMKA from Požega, amongst others, are showcasing a diverse range of products. Offerings range from honey and honey-based dietary products, fruit juices, organic jams without sugar, organic pasta, pasteurised fermented products to the famous Serbian ajvar. Also on display are dried fruits, mushrooms, baby foods, fruit concentrates and purées, confectioneries, tea biscuits, chocolate-covered fruits, wines, muesli, granola, oat porridges, and chocolates.

The frozen products stand features 15 companies, including PIK BEČEJ from Bečej and ITN GRUP from Zemun. They are presenting an assortment of frozen fruits and vegetables, fruit mashes, fruit purées, fruit toppings, and frozen cakes and pastries.

The primary objective of this year’s participation is to boost the export of Serbian food products, primarily targeting the German and wider European Union markets. Additionally, the fair offers an opportunity for Serbian companies to familiarise themselves with global food trends and innovations. It provides a platform to explore new products and technologies, seek fresh business opportunities, find new suppliers for the European and other international markets, and gauge their position in relation to market competition.
