Nikola Jokić, one of the world’s foremost basketball players and this year’s NBA champion, has been honoured for his role in enhancing Serbia’s global reputation, according to a statement from the Serbian Government.

The Serbian Ministry of Foreign Affairs bestows this accolade upon distinguished individuals who, through their professional endeavours, amplify Serbia’s standing on the world stage. Notably, prior to Jokić, tennis titan Novak Djokovic received the honour in 2020.
