First Charitable BELhospice Gala Evening Held in Belgrade

The first charitable BELhospice Gala Evening was held at the Radisson Blue Old Mill Hotel, during which 23,000 euros were raised to support the ongoing work of the BELhospice multidisciplinary team, providing free home-based palliative care for children diagnosed with incurable diseases in the Belgrade area.

100 guests attended the gala event, including representatives from the diplomatic corps, the corporate sector, the world of sports, and the arts. Their presence and participation in auctions contributed to the funds raised for the BELhospice Centre’s free services.

In the elegant ambience, the evening’s hosts, Ivana Božović and Žarko Stepanov, along with performances by Habanera Electric, Irina Pejoska, Iva Manojlović, Sofija Juričan, and the band Lezzgo, made the evening unforgettable for both participants and guests.

“We would like to express our gratitude to all our guests, sponsors, and donors who responded wholeheartedly to the call and generously donated to help the children and their families cared for by the BELhospice team. In the year when BELhospice celebrates its 20th anniversary, we continue to work towards our vision that every person has the right to accessible palliative care. We strive to make our free services available to as many users as possible who require palliative care,” stated the newly appointed director of BELhospice Center, Aleksandra Marjanović. She added, “The Gala dinner was also an opportunity to host sponsors and donors of the ‘Make a Wish, Change a Life’ campaign, with whose support we raised an additional 55,000 euros to continue providing free care for 29 children in their homes in Belgrade, as well as fulfilling their New Year’s wishes and providing necessary aids.”
