Eurobank provided six million dinars for the purchase of the medical equipment required for curbing the coronavirus epidemic. The donation will be realized via UNICEF, which invited companies and individuals to express solidarity and donate funds for procuring the necessary equipment for saving lives of people in Serbia and supporting our healthcare system

“We are aware that the situation demands urgent reaction and support to healthcare institutions and their patients in order to ensure adequate medical treatment. Within its contribution to fighting against the coronavirus epidemic, Eurobank provided funds in the amount of 6 million dinars for the purchase of medical and safety equipment for treating patients with coronavirus. With this donation, we also aim to support our healthcare system, which has a very difficult task ahead. We believe that it is important, now more than ever, to show solidarity and responsibility towards the society where we do business,” said Slavica Pavlović, President of the Executive Board of Eurobank.

UNICEF provides its full support to national efforts aimed at protecting the population, primarily by procuring critical equipment for the healthcare system, as well as by informing about precautionary measures and maintaining services and providing assistance to the most vulnerable families with children. We highly appreciate the contribution of the private sector to our work – both for regular programs for children and in emergency situations such as this one we are currently facing. The business community has expressed true solidarity in the conditions of economic uncertainty as well by allocating part of their revenue to help the society. I would like to thank all the companies which made donations to UNICEF in the aim of fighting coronavirus and saving lives in Serbia together,” said Regina De Dominicis, UNICEF Representative in Serbia.

Following the Serbian government’s guidelines, Eurobank has undertaken all precautionary measures aimed at reducing the further COVID-19 spread. Caring for its employees and clients, Eurobank has provided intensified hygiene measures in all its branches and maximum implementation of the coronavirus-related safety guidelines. For the purpose of safety, the Bank advises the use of e-b@nking and m-b@nking apps for executing banking transactions and of ATMs for cash withdrawals.
