Serbia’s junior national basketball team has become the new champion of Europe after defeating Spain, the two-time consecutive champions of the Old Continent, with a score of 81:71 (24:24, 17:16, 15:11, 25:20) in Niš’s Čair Hall.

The under-18 players, led by coach Nenad Stefanović, achieved the greatest success in the youth categories in the past five years.

Serbia had been waiting for gold for three years since the triumph of the juniors in 2018 at the European Championship in Latvia.
