Serbia’s Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic and Russian Ambassador to Serbia Aleksandar Chepurin talked about the overall relations between the two countries and assessed that these relations are developing well, in the mutual interest.
During the discussion, it was noted that the joint work on the preparation of strategic topics related to cooperation between the two countries is underway, before the forthcoming visit of Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev.
Chepurin presented Vucic a positive development in connection with the idea of duty-free export of Fiat vehicles produced in Serbia on the market of the Eurasian Economic Union.
A proposal to initiate the process of unification of the trade regime between the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union and Serbia was accepted yesterday, which should be finally adopted in May this year, allowing the operation of the working groups of Serbia and the Union regarding Fiat and other points of mutual trade.
The interlocutors concluded that the opening of a direct line of Air Serbia between Belgrade and St Petersburg, on 18 June this year, will mean a lot in strengthening the ties and cooperation between the two countries, especially in trade and tourism.
