Prestigious CIJ Awards for results in commercial real estate sector have been presented for the first time in Serbia, at a gala event last night in Hyatt Regency hotel in Belgrade.

The host of the event was CIJ Awards and founder Roberts Publishing Media Group (RPMG), leading European provider of digital and printed news in the commercial real estate sector.

Nominations for the award were open until November 10. Proposals were a result of a realistic assessment of the market situation by CIJ Awards partners, CBS International (CBRE Serbia) and expert associates Jones Lang LaSalle and Colliers. The winners were chosen among more than 60 nominees, by combined votes of 15 experts jury and on-line votes of the broader expert community in the commercial real estate sector.

All of 20 categories of awards are split into segments of property development, property lease, real estate teams and leaders, improvement of existing real estate and services in the property market. The winners in all categories are qualified for Best of the Best CIJ Awards Europe 2017, where the elite of eight countries from Central and South-Eastern Europe will be presented.

At this year’s event partners of RPMG and CIJ, EPF (European Property Federation), also took part. This partnership develops a platform for connecting local companies with EPF European members.

Established in 2001, CIJ Awards are the first commercial real estate event and contest in Czech Republic, Poland, Hungary, Romania and Slovakia, and this year Serbia joined. CIJ Awards are gradually developed with constant improvement of selection process and formula, in cooperation with the leading real estate companies’ management and leaders, juries from professional associations from across Europe, and mixed juries which include CIJ readers’ votes.
