The American company Bechtel is interested in the possibilities for cooperation with Serbia in the field of energy, among other things, by financing the previous feasibility study for the project of the reversible hydroelectric power plant “Đerdap 3”, said the president of this company, Stuart Johnson, at a meeting with the Minister of Mining and Energy, Zoran Mihajlović and the US Ambassador to Serbia, Christopher Hill.
Zorana Mihajlović expressed her belief that there are great opportunities for cooperation in the field of energy as well, especially when it comes to projects in the field of renewable energy sources and the first hybrid reversible hydroelectric power plant “Đerdap Tri”.
She added that the total installed power could reach 2,400 megawatts, with another 400 megawatts of capacity for the production of electricity from the wind and the sun, the Ministry of Mining and Energy of Serbia announced.
Zorana Mihajlović pointed out that she is proud of the cooperation with the company Bechtel on the construction of the Moravian Corridor in Serbia, which will be the most modern and the first digital highway in Serbia.
