Agriculture is a pillar of the economy for both Serbia and China, and cooperation in that area is of great importance for bilateral cooperation. said the Ambassador of the Republic of China Chen Bo in a conversation with the Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management in the Government of the Republic of Serbia Jelena Tanasković

Ambassador Chen Bo pointed out that the main point of cooperation is trade in agricultural and food products, the volume of which is increasing year by year, and emphasized that Serbian products are of high quality.

She stated that Chinese investors show great interest in new investments in Serbia in the food industry, as well as in the construction of a distribution center in Serbia.

According to Ambassador Chen Bo, there are also great opportunities for cooperation between experts from Serbia and China in the field of agricultural technologies.

Tanasković emphasized that she is proud of the fact that bilateral, political and economic relations and cooperation between Serbia and China are extremely developed and that they are constantly being improved and raised to a higher level.

“I am particularly proud of the fact that agriculture, as the department I head, represents one of the priority areas of cooperation between our two friendly countries”, the minister concluded.
