The Serbian Chamber of Commerce in cooperation with the Swiss Import Promotion Program (SIPPO) organized a visit of Serbian food industry companies to Jordan.

During the visit it was pointed out that the two countries, in addition to mutual cooperation, can provide their business communities with a good platform for entering the markets of the countries that surround them.

“Jordan can be a platform for Serbian companies to enter the markets of Iraq and Saudi Arabia, with which Jordan traditionally has well-developed business contacts, while Serbia can be an excellent platform for Jordan’s cooperation with the market of the Western Balkans region, as well as Europe,” said Danijela Strižak, assistant director of the Sector for Strategic Analysis, Services and Internationalization of the Serbian Chamber of Commerce.

According to Strižak, Jordan has signed free trade agreements with the United States, Canada and Singapore, as well as with the countries of EFTA, GAFTA (Greater Arab Free Trade Area), Egypt, Morocco and Tunisia, which provides great investment opportunities.

Serbian companies visited the food industry and technology fair, Food and Technology Expo 2022, in Jordan from 13 ro 19 August. Their offer of frozen fruits and vegetables, low-calorie jams, juices, apples, honey, as well as fruit spreads, porridges and purees were presented by the companies ITN, Budimka, PIK Bečej, Medino and Agrounija, PKS announced.
