This year, Trag Foundation is presenting the 14th VIRTUS Philanthropy Award. Last year, the VIRTUS award for individual contribution to philanthropy was presented to Tamara Klarić and Bogdan Stevanović from Belgrade. They designed a socially responsible mobile application “Take a step” and walked from Niš to Belgrade, in order to inspire citizens to get involved in this humanitarian initiative.

The goal was to raise funds for the construction of a new Parental House in Belgrade. This House is intended to accommodate children with cancer and their parents who reside outside of Belgrade, during their treatment in the capital. The action was supported by 560,000 people and over 60 companies and, in that way, more than €500,000 were raised.

Tamara Klarić

Back in 2017, by walking from Belgrade to Niš, Tamara and Bogdan raised 3 million dinars for the construction of the hematology-oncology department of the Children’s Hospital in Niš. Through these actions, they jointly crossed Serbia on foot twice, while everyone participating in their initiative in 2019 covered the circumference of Planet Earth.
