The United Arab Emirates has implemented a fund of three billion dirhams (810 million euros) to support the space program and a new initiative for the development of radar satellites.

This information was announced by the president of that Gulf state, Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, on his Twitter account.

Dubai Ruler Sheikh Muhammad Al Maktoum meanwhile said the fund aims to support the establishment of national companies in the space sector and encourage national strategic and research projects.
