Epidemiologist and member of the COVID-19 Crisis Response Team Branislav Tiodorovic stated that this team proposed today that the working hours of shopping malls, services, cafes and restaurants be extended to 8pm, with the respect for all epidemiological measures.

After the session of this team, Tiodorovic said that the measures should take effect immediately, but they are time-limited to 25 December. He explained that these five days will serve to analyse and assess the epidemiological situation, which will determine whether the measures will be extended, changed or amended.

It is obvious that the citizens need to use services, with the respect for all epidemiological measures. Cafes and restaurants can be open until 8pm, without the use of music in any sense, whereas the institutions of culture will be open until 9pm.

Tiodorovic voiced hope that the government will hold a session today at which it will adopt the measures proposed, and added that in the coming days the number of patients in COVID hospitals is expected to drop.
