The renowned September Meeting, now in its 17th year, was recently hosted by NALED under the theme “Innovations – New Reforms and Ideas for a Better Tomorrow”.
Held at the White Palace, the event was graced by the presence of over 1,000 guests, including national and local leaders, entrepreneurs, international community representatives, and members of the diplomatic corps.
NALED took the opportunity to announce its top members for 2023. Distinguished guests including Minister of Construction, Goran Vesić; His Royal Highness Crown Prince Aleksandar II Karađorđević; and Chairman of NALED’s Executive Board, Vladislav Cvetković, addressed the audience, celebrating the organisation’s 17 fruitful years.
For the first time, the September Meeting was supported by a main sponsor, with Philip Morris having the honour.
The event culminated in the awarding of the prestigious ‘Member of the Year’ accolade. This year’s commendation, determined by the Executive Board and proposed by the Executive Office, recognised outstanding contributions to the development and membership of NALED, as well as the promotion of its shared values.
Stanka Pejanović, Executive Vice-President of Hisense Europe; Nikola Vučen, Mayor of Smederevska Palanka; and Nedeljko Tica, Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture in Novi Sad, clinched the title amidst stiff competition from over 300 companies, local governments, and civil society organisations.
