Member of the COVID-19 Crisis Response Team and Provincial Health Secretary Zoran Gojkovic announced today that for the weekend everything will be closed on the territory of Serbia, except for food stores, pharmacies and gas stations.

Speaking at a press conference after the session of the team, Gojkovic pointed out that we have an emergency epidemiological situation and that the measures will be the same as last weekend, and in addition all events will be cancelled.

He specified that cultural events will not be held during the weekend, and that certain sporting events will still be held if the cancellation is not allowed by the competition system, but there will be no live audience.

Secondary schools will continue with online classes next week. The higher grades of primary schools will also switch to this type of teaching, whereas the lower grades will continue as up until now.

The Provincial Health Secretary pointed out that the vaccination sites will work without interruptions during the weekend, adding that additional consultation will be held in next two days, and that on Monday it will be decided how to proceed with the measures.

The vaccination is carried out continuously, with approximately 700,000 citizens receiving both doses of the vaccine, and a total of 1.85 million doses administered so far.
