The American Chamber of Commerce (AmCham) and the U.S. Embassy in Serbia marked World Intellectual Property Day with a gathering on the premises of AmCham that included the presenting of data on progress achieved in terms of the protection of intellectual property rights in Serbia and discussion of the challenges present in this domain.

The gathering was addressed by Zoran Petrović, Chairman of the AmCham Board of Directors, H.E. Kyle Scott, U.S. Ambassador to Serbia, Vladimir Popović, Serbian State Secretary at the Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development, Slaviša Đukanović, Deputy Head of the Serbian Interior Ministry’s Sector for Analytics, Telecommunications and Information Technology, Vladimir Marić, acting director of the Institute for Intellectual Property, and Dragomir Kojić, Chair of the Group for Intellectual Property within the AmCham Committee for the fight against the grey economy and Head of the Intellectual Property Department of Commercial Law Firm Karanović & Nikolić, who all agreed that great progress has been achieved over the past ten years with regard to the protection of intellectual property.
