The Embassy of Israel, in cooperation with the Centre for the Development of Technological Entrepreneurship and Innovation – ICT Hub, organised a reception on the occasion of awarding a grant for equipping one of the first Internet of Things (IoT) laboratories in Serbia – Garage Lab.

Those present were addressed by Ambassador of Israel to Serbia H.E. Alona Fisher Kamm and Nenad Popović, Minister without Portfolio in charge of innovations and technological development.

The grant is awarded by the Israeli International Cooperation and Development Agency MASHAV, which is marking 60 years of existence this year. Since its establishment, this agency has trained nearly 270,000 trainees from 132 countries, both in Israel and around the world. Professional training covers various areas of entrepreneurship development, from startup accelerators, empowerment of women’s rights, to agriculture.

With the support of the Embassy of Israel, hundreds of candidates from Serbia had the opportunity to take part in one of these courses, to develop professionally in Israel and later to apply the knowledge they acquired in their organisations.

Garage Lab is a hardware IoT laboratory established on the initiative of ICT Hub, BEUM Association and Jarovida, which brings together all hardware enthusiasts.
