Swiss-Serbian Chamber of Commerce SSCC held a working lunch entitled ’’The update of the Swiss start-up ecosystem’’ co-organised with SSCC member-company ’’Holycode’’.

Over 50 guests were greeted by Ms. Ana Grujovic, SSCC Executive Director, and Mr. Milan Nikolić, Co-founder and CEO Holycode AG. After this, H.E. Urs Schmid, Swiss Ambassador to the Republic of Serbia an to Montegro, emphasized the importance of the ICT sector for the Swiss-Serbian economic cooperation in his speech and welcomed the opportunity to share the Swiss know-how during the working lunch.

The presentations held by Holycode co-founders: Mr. Laurent Decrue (Founder and Co-CEO Holycode AG), Mr. Nenad Nikolic (Founder Co-CEO/CTO Holycode AG) and Mr. Milan Nikolic (Co-founder and CEO Holycode AG) focused on the evolution of the Swiss Startup Ecosystem, the reasons for its success and current trends.

Also, Mr. David Hug, representing Ringier Digital Ventures and Marcau Partners, said that the investments in the Startup Ecosystem in Switzerland by Venture Capitalists were CHF 4bn/Year in 2022 and were showing good growth. Zurich still leads the way in the invested amounts and Lausanne is a close second. Those two together (both cities have great technical universities) make up 2⁄3 of all the invested capital in the Swiss Startup Ecosystem. Switzerland overall remains a great breeding ground for Biotech Startups.

Then, Mr. Philippe Frey, Strategy Director at ANYbotics spoke about artificial intelligence, robotics and ANYbotics. He presented a modern type of working force, ANYmal, the autonomous mobile robot which is used for industrial inspection solution. The presentations were followed by a networking lunch.
