The stance of Ukraine is principled when it comes to not recognizing the independence of Kosovo and respecting the territorial integrity of Serbia, stated Ukrainian Ambassador to Belgrade H.E. Volodymyr Tolkach.

In a statement provided to the Kosovo Online portal, he emphasized that it is particularly important for Ukraine to uphold and safeguard the norms of international law by all states, especially concerning the territorial integrity and inviolability of internationally recognized state borders.

“The stance of Ukraine is principled and steadfast – Ukraine respects Serbia’s territorial integrity. It is of vital importance for the Ukrainian people to protect their own freedom and independence from Russia’s unprovoked aggression. Today, hundreds of Ukrainians are losing their lives, and thousands are severely injured by the Russian aggressor. Ukrainian society understands that a neutral position towards the aggressor state in practice aids the aggressor in committing its crimes, rather than being a practical support for the norms of international law – Ukraine’s territorial integrity,” Tolkach conveyed.
