Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal says that the Ukrainian authorities are negotiating with the United States and other Western countries on the use of Russian assets frozen by the West.

Schmihal explained that the aim of the negotiations is to find a solution for how to use Russia’s frozen funds to finance the reconstruction of Ukraine.

He believes this is a very important international issue, RIA Novosti reports.

The State Department and the White House said Shmyhal met with Secretary of State Anthony Blinken and US National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan in Washington to discuss US assistance to his country and continued pressure on Russia.
