US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken thinks the war in Ukraine is far from over, despite the withdrawal of Russian troops from the vicinity of Kiev.

“Russia is redeploying its forces to continue attacking in the east and south of Ukraine”, said Blinken, as reported by Voice of America’s Russian language service.

He pointed out that the United States, its allies and partners must increase military aid while Ukraine, as he said, “is preparing for the next phase of the fight for its freedom and future”.

“We are trying to strengthen Ukraine’s position in the negotiations as much as possible and to increase the pressure on Putin”, said Blinken.

According to Blinken, the United States and the international community will turn the war, which was started by Russian President Vladimir Putin, into a long-term strategic failure for the Kremlin.
