Priorities and goals of the new Lafarge Holcim Group

Transforming Commercial and Market Approach

Lafarge Serbia is part of the Lafarge- Holcim Group, which was established in July 2015 following a merger between Lafarge and Holcim, the two leading building materials companies.

The LafargeHolcim Group has 115,000 employees worldwide, working in over 2,500 facilities in 90 countries. We are by far the biggest player in the construction materials industry and we also strive to be the best. We have been working to create the company with the highest operational standards in the construction materials industry and our strategic transformation relies on the best practices of Lafarge and Holcim.

Dimitrije Knjeginjic

In terms of the Group’s operations in Serbia, Lafarge Serbia continues to function as part of the LafargeHolcim Group. Holcim’s assets and operations in Serbia were sold to the CRH Group in order to mitigate the potential restriction of competition that would result from the merger.

Lafarge has been operating in Serbia since 2002 when the company acquired the Beočin Cement Factory. We extended our business activities in 2010 by launching the production of concrete and aggregates. Today our business is conducted at one cement factory and three concrete factories. This integration will boost our operations by creating higher quality solutions and providing even better service, as well as an integrated approach that will improve our efficiency, increase the volume of innovation, bring new solutions for sustainable construction and products with added value.

Our goal is to create an attractive and stimulating environment for our employees and to develop recognisable and sustainable solutions that contribute to the development of the community in which we operate

Our company’s priorities all pertain to transforming our commercial and market approach in order to create a world-class brand and become the number one partner in construction and infrastructure. While working constantly to advance our business in a safe way, we also try to come up with innovative solutions that create added value for our customers.

Additionally, our goal is to create an attractive and stimulating environment for our employees and to develop recognisable and sustainable solutions that contribute to the development of the community in which we operate. Our goals are lofty and I am absolutely convinced that the foundations for accomplishing all our goals lie in a combination of global and local know-how, as well as the vast experience of our team, our unique product portfolio and the great encouragement we derive from this merger.
