Buoyed by dwindling domestic demand, thanks to regulatory landscapes and an influx of inexpensive natural gas, U.S. coal exports are resurging. A 16% uptick from last year has been recorded, and an ambitious 94 million tonnes are projected for 2024—a quarter of its total production.
