British parliamentarians and journalists took part in the 19th Annual Parliamentary Shrove Tuesday pancake race at the Houses of Parliament.
The race was held in Victoria Tower Gardens, close to London’s Houses of Parliament. This event can get pretty tense and the competition this year was again fierce.
According to the strict rules of the competition, contestants had to complete a lap of Victoria Tower Gardens without dropping their pancake while wearing an apron and hat to be in with a chance of winning the prestigious Magnificent Tin Cup.
Labour MP for Ealing, Steve Pound, captain of the House of Commons Team, claimed victory.
The race was sponsored by Rehab, a charity that works to empower people living with disabilities to be more independent.
