IKEA Serbia achieved excellent business results in the first financial year, reaching sales of over RSD 5.6 billion (EUR 47.2 million).

IKEA department store in Belgrade hosted 1.8 million visitors, and more than 10.4 million people visited the site IKEA.rs.

“For a young market like Serbian, these are excellent business results, and we see many positive trends. IKEA is here to stay, and I’m pleased to announce today that we have started preparatory works for the construction of the Belgrade shopping centre that will be located next to our department store. The investment is worth about 50 million euros and will create around 400 new jobs,” said Stefan Vanoverbeke, director of IKEA Serbia and general director of IKEA South-East Europe.

During the first fiscal year in Serbia, IKEA achieved a market share of 11%, which is mostly for the region of Southeast Europe.
