On 25 July, UNESCO celebrates the return of the United States at a ceremony during which the US flag will be raised. The ceremony honors the reaffirmation of the United States’ commitment to global collaboration on education, culture, and science, as it rejoins UNESCO’s diverse community of nations.

First Lady Jill Biden will be in attendance to underscore the importance the US now places on fostering international understanding through UNESCO. The sight of the US flag proudly waving once again at UNESCO headquarters symbolizes the world’s renewed dedication to shared values and global cooperation.
