The first shipment of Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine containing 4,800 doses has arrived in Serbia today and has been picked up at Nikola Tesla Airport in Belgrade.

Serbia is the first country in the region to receive the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID vaccine.

The Serbian Agency for Medicines and Medical Devices approved the use and import of this vaccine on 18 December, after the two companies applied for the registration of the vaccine on 2 December.
