First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivica Dačić said in a meeting with Chairman of the Foreign and European Affairs Committee of the Italian House of Representatives Marta Grande and Ambassador of Italy to Serbia H.E. Carlo Lo Cascio that the two countries are intensively cooperating at the level of strategic partnership.

Dačić expressed his gratitude to Italy for supporting the European road of Serbia, stating that Italy is the first market in the European Union to which Serbia exports and the second from which it imports.

He emphasised that the investments of the Italian companies in Serbia give a great impetus to the overall economic development, as well as to the bilateral relations of the two countries.

The First Deputy Prime Minister also pointed out that all the necessary conditions had been met in order to organise the Fourth Joint Session of the governments of Serbia and Italy in the forthcoming period, which should be held in our country.

Ms Grande noted that stability in the Western Balkans region is very important for Italy and appreciates Serbia’s efforts to resolve all issues that burden relations in the region through dialogue.
