Fur business had been mostly focused on a wealthy Russian buyers since the mid-90s.
Denmark and Greece seem to be the last huge fur industries. With the demise of Denmark’s fur industry during a coronavirus-driven mink cull, and Greece’s downspiral since the imposing of the sunctions on Russia, animal rights groups hope the cut-off from the Russian market could spell the end of the European fur market.
The fur industry has already shrunk drastically in response to animal welfare campaigns.
