Slovenia saw substantial snowfall in mid-July, which is unprecedented for the alpine country. The temperature measured on July 14th was -1 degree celsius.
Not too far across the border, snow was noticed on the Italian Alps. During the weekend below zero temperatures are expected across much of the country.
Major rainfalls and low temperatures were noticed across Croatia as well. The regions of Dalmatia and Slavonija saw a great deal of rain and hurricane-level winds.
