The second Serbian Visions event, which is being organised by the German-Serbian Chamber of Commerce (AHK) and the Chamber of Commerce & Industry of Serbia (PKS), will take place in Belgrade on 26th and 27th November, with discussions, forums and workshops set to include the participation of more than 60 different non-governmental organisations, institutes , associations, universities, colleges, expert associations, companies etc.
Themes of the Serbian Visions will be human rights, the economy, education, culture, health, environmental protection, European integration, security, innovation and other segments that comprise the vision of a better Serbia.
The presidents of AHK and PKS, Martin Knapp and Marko Čadež, signed a memorandum of understanding at the PKS headquarters on 3rd November, saying that the greatest contribution of Serbian Visions is the fact that it will allow people who research various social problems to come together with business leaders.
Čadež noted in a statement for agency Tanjug that the topics will be socially-responsible operations, as well as those models and concepts that are based on good studies of social changes and trends, with special consideration for the fact that we live in a time during which the economy is changing radically.
“The companies that participated last year began implementing some of the ideas they received through their business model, such as creating corporate social responsibility strategies,” said Čadež.
He added that the contacts made at such events are also very important, with some 70 organisations presenting what they do, and they can see on the spot how they can contribute to the betterment of the entire community with their responsibility and business operations.
AHK President Knapp also invited all other organisations to apply for the free two-day congress in order to gain new partners and support.
According to plans, the first day should focus on Serbia’s future in the EU, or European integration, the protection of human rights and other topics related to Serbia’s path to Europe.
The second day will include discussions of humanitarian organisations, animal protection and marginalised groups.
