Soon, audio and video calls will be available on the X Network, the rebranded version of Twitter, announced owner Elon Musk. The feature will be accessible on both smartphones and computers, and users won’t require a phone number to use it.
Musk took to his X profile to say, “The X platform will serve as a vast telephone directory.”
This revelation follows Musk’s prior announcement that the X app aims to be an ‘all-in-one’ service.
By introducing audio and video calls, the X Network is venturing into a market already saturated with formidable competitors, including WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger, and Apple’s FaceTime service.
