An award ceremony at Belgrade’s Radisson Blu Old Mill Hotel, in the presence of a large number of marketing communications professionals, saw the presenting of the traditional Lifetime Achievement Award of the Serbian Association for Marketing Communications (UEPS), which is awarded in recognition of the total body of creative work and contribution to the advancement of the profession of a single individual.

At the suggestion of the UEPS Club of Laureates, comprising all previous winners of this prestigious award, this year’s winner of the Lifetime Achievement Award is Slavimir Stojanović, a famous designer who is said to be among those who “say a lot with a slight move” and whose works are “superior messages without words”, as the jury’s explanation states.

Alongside the Lifetime Achievement Award, the ceremony also included the presenting of the Young Lions of Serbia Awards in the Print category, which was awarded to agency Leo Burnett’s creative duo Katarina Zaharijev and Milica Radović.

The Lifetime Achievement Award was presented by Vladimir Čeh, while the Young Lions of Serbia awards were handed over by Veran Matić. On behalf of the jury, Veljko Golubovic, Regional Creative Director at FCB Afirma, commented on the received and evaluated works, explaining the jury’s decision regarding the awarded works.

The winners of the Young Lions of Serbia awards gave thanks for the opportunity to express their creative potential in this way, while new UEPS laureate Slavimir Stojanović gave a speech in which he used a retrospective of his professional activities to make mention of many names and personalities who influenced his creative work.
