Prime Minister Ana Brnabic met with Dutch Ambassador to Serbia Henk van den Dool to discuss the political and bilateral relations and cooperation between the two countries.
She also expressed her gratitude to the Netherlands for supporting the European integration and key reforms of Serbia on this road.
Van den Dool said that the Netherlands supports the European path of Serbia, as well as the country’s resolve to continue providing expert assistance to Serbia for implementing reforms on its path to the European Union.
He pointed out that, during his mandate, he witnessed the economic progress of Serbia thanks to the efforts of the government to strengthen the economy and achieve the stability of the country.
These efforts give results, the ambassador said, adding that Serbia has become an attractive investment market, he said.
Prime Minister Brnabic reminded that in recent years the number of Dutch companies and investments in our market have been noticeably growing.
She expressed the expectation that such a positive trend will continue due to the results of fiscal consolidation and a series of economic measures aimed at creating a favourable business environment.
The ultimate goal is the transformation of our economy based on knowledge and innovation, she stressed, adding that Serbia has learned a lot from the Netherlands in that regard.
The Prime Minister thanked Ambassador Van den Dool for his cooperation and wished much success in his future duties.
