Embassy hosts cultural ceremony honouring freedom and friendship

The Embassy of India in Belgrade celebrated the 79th anniversary of India’s Independence Day on 15 August 2025 with a ceremony held at the chancery. The event featured the hoisting of the Indian national flag, a reading of President Droupadi Murmu’s official address, and a special exhibition dedicated to Indian freedom fighters and traditional handicrafts.

Attended by members of the diplomatic community, Indian nationals, and Serbian guests, the celebration highlighted the enduring bonds between India and Serbia.
