Air Serbia, the national airline of the Republic of Serbia, today announced that it has reinstated its direct air service between Belgrade Nikola Tesla Airport and Geneva Airport.
The airline confirmed that the first flight departed earlier today. Air Serbia stated that flights would initially operate three times weekly on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.
It added that due to high demand, an additional Sunday flight would be introduced for the peak summer months of July and August.
Boško Rupić, Air Serbia’s Commercial and Strategy Director, reportedly expressed his excitement about resuming flights to Geneva.
He was quoted as saying that the route was “crucial for both business and leisure travellers,” particularly for the “substantial diaspora from the Western Balkans residing in Switzerland.”
Rupić further indicated that strong initial sales and passenger interest had underscored the importance of this direct link, which had prompted the airline to add extra capacity for the summer season.
Air Serbia also highlighted that the re-established Geneva route would offer seamless onward connections via its Belgrade hub to a wide array of destinations across Southeast Europe, the Mediterranean, and beyond, including Athens, Budapest, Istanbul, Skopje, and Vienna.
The airline confirmed that this move was part of its ongoing network expansion, which it said had seen new services launched to Florence, Mykonos, Alghero, Tbilisi, and Shanghai in 2025, alongside increased frequencies on popular existing routes.
