The Italian discount retail chain Eurospin, through its company Eurospin EKO, is officially entering the Serbian market.
According to the Retail Serbia portal, the first store locations have already been selected, while recruitment for the company’s Serbian headquarters is underway.
The open positions are accompanied by months-long training programs in Croatia and Italy, with some employees having started training as early as the end of last year.
Eurospin operates in over 1,300 locations across Italy, Slovenia, Croatia, and Malta, employing more than 22,000 people.
In 2024 alone, the company achieved a turnover of nearly €10 billion. Founded in 1993, Eurospin was established with the aim of offering customers high quality at affordable prices.
With Eurospin’s arrival, the competition in Serbia’s retail market is becoming increasingly dynamic.
In addition to the French chain Carrefour, which has already confirmed a franchise in Serbia, other European chains are also showing interest.
Serbian consumers can expect significant changes and a wider range of choices when shopping.
