The brainteaser that has been created by National Geographic was designed to test children’s logic skills.
In the image, a yellow bus is shown with identical windows, making it difficult to determine which is the front and which is the back.
To solve the riddle, puzzlers must work out which end of the bus the passenger doors are located on – and therefore which way the vehicle will be travelling.
But while 80% of children under 10 answered the question correctly almost instantly, adults are struggling to work it out.
The correct solution is that, for those living in countries that drive on the right side, the bus is travelling left, in the UK the bus is travelling to the right because they drive on the left side of the road.
