The government of Serbia sent the French Republic a financial aid of €1 million for the reconstruction of Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris, which was badly damaged in a catastrophic fire in the night of 15 April this year.
This decision confirms centuries of friendship with the French people and expresses the desire to rebuild the symbol of the French and world civilisation as soon as possible and open this temple of culture and art for all of its future devotees.
