On the occasion of World Children’s Day celebration, today children took over the management of UNIQA Insurance. Based on a unanimous decision rendered at the Children’s Board Meeting, the Company Headquarters, in line with the campaign’s global motto #GoBlue for Every Child (#GoBlue), are going to be illuminated in blue until the day’s end.
The session comprising more than 20 little managers marked the official beginning of the celebration of the holiday that each year, at UNICEF’s initiative, unites the most renowned companies, institutions and individuals across the globe in one aim – to promote the rights of children.
Session’s participants, through open mutual dialogue, came to the conclusion that children did not need any additional rights, they needed the applicable ones to be respected. In addition, they put forward unambiguous proposals as to in what ways the grown-ups could support them in securing an equal approach to education, safety, and reaching the full potential of each child. Their ideas were recorded in the Meeting Minutes and would serve as a unique signpost for new investments into socially conscious projects of UNIQA Insurance.
The talks about their rights were continued with their peers at “Đuro Strugar” Primary School, to which UNIQA, on the occasion of the World Children’s Day, together with a famous artist, Andrej Josifovski, aka the Pianist, donated a one-of-a-kind mural, which is a reminder of one of the most important rights – the right of freedom of thought.
Strong support to children and the young in this momentous task were UNIQA Insurance employees. As a token of their willingness to show that they play on the same #GoBlue for Every Child Team, they wore blue garments and had accessories in this colour.
UNIQA promoters, National Water Polo Team Players – Andrija Prlainović, Milan Aleksić, Sava Ranđelović and Dušan Mandić took part in this campaign, as well. They, over their social network accounts, invited their followers to wear a piece of blue clothing and share their photos with #GoBlue for Every Child, in an attempt to make this global movement extra noticeable.
The celebration of this important day UNIQA organized at the initiative and in cooperation with UNICEF, the most prominent global organization that has been an advocate for the rights and interests of children across the globe for over 70 years. The World Children’s Day is a unique day honouring children’s rights, which children from all over the world celebrate on November 20th by taking over businesses, institutions and the media, in order for their voice to be heard far and wide. This year, the central topic is an equal approach to education for every child.
