Audrey Hepburn’s personal collection, which has remained with her family, has been offered at auctions for the first time ever.
Together, the auctions presented some 500 uniquely intimate glimpses into the personal life of one of Hollywood’s greatest stars.
Part I of the collection was offered at Christie’s London (from 22nd–26th September), while Part II was offered in an online-only sale conducted simultaneously.
The auctions included Hepburn’s personally annotated scripts from her best-loved films, including Breakfast at Tiffany’s, original portraits from major photographers like Cecil Beaton and Philippe Halsman, her extensive personal wardrobe and much more.
Glamorous dresses by designers including Givenchy and Valentino – which her son Sean Hepburn-Ferrer noted few would fit into – were put on display alongside playful clothing that included a 1964 Spanish matador outfit.
