At the Italy-Serbia Innovation Forum “Creating Business through Innovation,” three agreements and a memorandum were signed, as announced by the Government.

Documents were signed between AREA Science Park Trieste and four Science and Technology Parks in Serbia, located in Belgrade, Niš, Novi Sad, and Čačak, between Arexpo SpA and the Science and Technology Park Novi Sad, as well as between the University of Insubria and the Universities of Belgrade, Novi Sad, and Niš.

The innovation forum aims to establish a platform for business collaboration and the academic community in Serbia and Italy, enhancing cooperation between the two countries in the field of innovation. This includes connecting companies, incubators, accelerators, and startups.

A special focus of the forum is on agrotechnology, artificial intelligence and its application in industrial processes, green transition, smart cities, and sustainable mobility.

Speakers at the Italy-Serbia Innovation Forum included Atilio Fontana, President of the Regional Government of Lombardy, Rafaele Cattaneo, Undersecretary for International Cooperation and EU Cooperation of the Lombardy Government, and Luca Gori, the Italian Ambassador to Serbia.

The forum, held in Belgrade, was organized in collaboration with the Embassy of the Republic of Italy in Serbia, the Italian Trade Agency (ITA), the Lombardy Region, the Ministry of Science, Technological Development and Innovation, the Ministry of Information and Telecommunications, the Serbian Chamber of Commerce (PKS), and supported by WMF – We Make Future and Impact Hub Belgrade.
