The Cable Car Kotor-Lovćen, a paramount endeavor in recent Montenegrin history, has opened its doors for commercial rides. Operating daily from 9 AM to 9 PM, it welcomed none other than the unparalleled tennis maestro, Novak Djokovic, as one of its inaugural riders.

Djokovic, taking to his Instagram, shared snapshots from the cable car and penned the poetic line, “Nowhere is the sky as azure as above Montenegro.”

The cable car’s route commences at Duba, nestled within the Kotor Municipality, and ascends to the Kuk site on the Lovćen mountain, perched at 1,350 meters above sea level.

The venture was executed by the consortium of Novi Volvoks – Lajtner, based on a concession agreement signed in December 2021.
