At its semi-annual meeting, Delta Holding announced new large investments in the region. Apart from the ongoing construction of InterContinental Hotel in Ljubljana, at the beginning of next year Delta will also begin building a shopping-mall in Banja Luka, the largest investment in the Republic Srpska.

Banja Luka will get a modern building with the gross surface of 60,000m2 which will offer its visitors the best-known world brands, family entertainment, restaurants and cafes… The investment worth 60 million EUR will open more than 2,500 new vacancies and engage the construction industry of the Republic Srpska.

(Investments in Slovenia): The construction of InterContinental Hotel in Ljubljana is proceeding by the plan. During the first 6 months of this year, 45% of the construction has been completed while the building has reached the 4th floor. The total investment in this five-star hotel is 40 million EUR and InterContinental Ljubljana with its 25 levels will also be the tallest building in Ljubljana. The opening is planned for the first half of 2017.

(Investments in Serbia): Delta also has big plans for real estate construction in Serbia. Projects have been prepared and funds have been provided for 4 large investments: a new business building of Delta holding, a Delta Planet regional shopping-mall in Autokomanda, InterContinental Hotel and a business building in New Belgrade. Unfortunately, even after two and a half years of discussions with city authorities and their promises that all conditions will be provided, we haven’t obtained construction permits for any of those locations.

Since the preparation of these locations requires large funds, there is neither possibility nor willingness to wait endlessly for necessary permits. If the realization of their projects is not possible within the shortest period of time, Delta will have to change current plans and to direct its investments outside Serbia.
