“They find solutions in times of crisis, they innovate, and they use their creativity to mobilise people.”

After Serbian actress Hristina Popovic in 2019 and basketball star Natasa Kovacevic in 2020, the European Union has selected Nordeus co-founder Milan Jovović to be Serbia’s representative as a European Making a Difference for 2021.

The campaign promotes the Western Balkans throughout Europe and aims at showing the creative and innovating energy which is produced in the region, and which is the basis for the future of Europe.

Nordeus is driven by using creativity in mobilising the best of the people. Milan moved back from Denmark, where he had a promising job, to found a company in Serbia and pursue his dream of making games. Today, “Top Eleven” is the most played mobile football game in the world.

Nordeus employs 20 different nationalities. They bring diversity, experience and skillsets. Moreover, Nordeus has been engaged in advocating for improvements in the Serbian legislation in the digital sphere to align it with the European standards.

“Serbia has so many committed and inspirational individuals to be proud of. These people are making a difference; they represent role models both within their communities and wider. As part of the wider, “Europeans making a difference” campaign, we want to display to both the EU member states and the region how these people are a cutting edge in their fields of expertise, how they move boundaries and open floor for the others. They have a genuine, human story and deserve to be put forward,” says Mateja Norčič Štamcar, charge d’affaires of the EU Delegation in Serbia.
