Payoneer, a global platform for payments and e-commerce supporting growth of millions of digital businesses worldwide, introduced Nikola Mehandžić, Business Development Director for Serbia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, North Macedonia and Montenegro, and presented the company’s plans for the upcoming period at an online press conference.

“I’m excited about joining Payoneer, which has the technology and tools to empower businesses of all sizes to take a step further and grow globally – across borders, limitations and expectations,” said Nikola Mehandžić, Business Development Director of Payoneer in Serbia, and added the following: “Payoneer solutions are applicable to all businesses and specific solutions are particularly suitable for entrepreneurs. In the upcoming period, we are planning to work on developing new products for the business community, increasing the number of users, providing localised, high-quality support to customers and strengthening the local infrastructure with global payment solutions.”

Payoneer tools and services contribute to the optimisation of business operations through digitalisation of business processes, leading to operational cost optimisation and enabling faster growth and expansion. Users in the segment of small- and medium-sized enterprises are able to receive funds from global digital stores, make payments to their suppliers across the world, transfer funds to accounts in local banks or use payment cards for withdrawing cash from ATMs or paying in stores and online. Also, small- and medium-sized businesses have the option of obtaining accounts for receiving funds in the most common currencies such as USD, EUR, GBP, JPY, CAD, AUS, MXN or CNY, which means accelerated payments and elimination of currency conversion and reduced operational costs.

Payoneer in Serbia is growing rapidly. Its many thousands of local users include freelancers and companies providing services for foreign clients: programmers, designers, translators, etc. In the upcoming period, the company will, in addition to the team focused on the local market, expand its activities and continue working on the localisation of communications, in order to pay special attention to the users from Serbia and countries of the region.

Payoneer’s objective is to offer its platform to companies which deal with international payments, especially in the currencies which are not commonly used in the Serbian market at this point.

Vuk Stojković, the winner of the Payoneer Award for Entrepreneurship and the owner of the Totema company, specialised in providing marketing and recruiting services on the global level explained how Payoneer empowers individuals and companies: “Payoneer provides us with an instant solution for money transfers and financial transactions with clients, associates and partners anywhere in the world. The award has come as a surprise because the competition was tough, but we are very proud to be the first winners from Serbia and it will help us position our brand even better in the global market and continue with steep growth in 2021 as well.”

Payments made via the Payoneer platform comply with the financial industry regulations worldwide. In Europe, Payoneer operates as Payoneer Europe Limited, namely as an e-money institution licensed by the Central Bank of Ireland to operate across the Eurozone, but Payoneer is also regulated in the USA, UK, Hong Kong, Japan and Australia.
